Useful tips
There are, of course, a good few steps and quite a lot of stairs on board the ship (there is no avoiding this on a fifty-year-old legend...), which means that the tours are not suitable for baby buggies. We also advise you to wear comfortable shoes. If only to be able to parade over the decks of the Grande Dame.
In addition, it is useful to know in advance that the tours also take you over the outside decks of our 228-metre long ship. So remember to wear or bring warm clothing with you if appropriate. Unfortunately, the standard tours are not suitable for wheelchair users. We would, of course, be more than pleased to arrange a special custom-made tour for you.

Seabreeze Deluxe Tour
A journey through time
The Seabreeze Deluxe Tour is a conducted tour without a guide. With the aid of an audio phone and a floor plan of the ship with the various decks indicating the anchor points, you can follow the tour route at your own pace.
The Seabreeze Deluxe Tour includes a visit to the bow and the bridge, a glimpse of the wheelhouse and all the areas at the rear and the former sports decks and the stern. You can also look round the chart room, the radio room and the captain’s cabin. This tour gives you a glimpse behind the scenes and an impression of what life was like on board in bygone days.
This tour is predominantly outdoors.
The tour takes approximately one hour.
A special audio tour is available for children.

DE ROTTERDAM ALL INCLUSIVE TOUR:
For those (people) who want to see almost everything
Would you like to know everything about the largest vessel ever built on Dutch soil? Relive glorious times? Then De Rotterdam All Inclusive Tour is the best choice. This tour is a clever combination of the Seabreeze Deluxe Tour and the Way Down Below Tour. Saunter over the decks, dive deep into the belly of the impressive ship, experience this 228 metre-long living legend.
Highlights include the Experience Centre where you can journey from Rotterdam to New York in ten minutes, the stately prow with its heavy anchor winches and more, the towering bridge, the chart room, the radio room and the sanctuary of all sanctuaries: the original captain’s cabin. The tour continues past the impressive equipment in the engine rooms, the stabiliser and evaporation holds, the imposing boiler hold, the authentic radio room and the commanding control panel with all its levers and switches. The lounges are not accessible.

Party On Board De Rotterdam! Tour
Super place for a party
Party On Board De Rotterdam! is a special birthday tour, complete with guide, for birthday children and their guests, aged between 6 to 11. Directly after the tour there is a fun, creative workshop, during which the birthday girl or boy receives extra special attention!

Naturally we also have something tasty for all the party guests. Choose between delicious French fries or the ship’s pancakes. The maximum size of the group for a Party On Board De Rotterdam! Tour, incidentally, is 10 children. Good fun and cosy.
The Party On Board De Rotterdam! Tour lasts approximately two hours, including the workshop. You can book the tour on any Wednesday afternoon, at any time during the day at weekends, and every day during the school holidays.
