In collaboration with Albeda College and ROC Zadkine, amongst others, we have places for nearly 300 students and work placements each year. On board De Rotterdam you combine working and learning in the form of a work placement or an apprenticeship. All the partners on board have diverse options in the various departments and at different levels. You are supervised by permanent staff and participate in internal training programmes: an ideal environment for practical training! 

 

Do you have an enormous passion for the ship and would you like to share this with others on a voluntary basis? If so, please apply for voluntary work to Stichting Cultureel Erfgoed De Rotterdam. The aim of this foundation is the preservation of the knowledge about the ship and its voyages and sharing this with the public. The volunteers on board act as ship hosts and inform the public about the history of the ship. They also work as shop assistants in the New York shop where they sell articles that represent and underline the historic value of De Rotterdam. The posts are displayed in Dutch only, because all the volunteers are expected to have a good command of the Dutch language.
