Excursions

Besides our tours onboard the ship, ss Rotterdam is a good starting point for discovering the city of Rotterdam

Take the water taxi or bike
Book a hotel arrangement and visit the Euromast, Blijdorp Zoo, book a Splash Tour or make a round trip with Spido. Using the water taxi means you will be there in no time. Or rent a bike and cycle around Rijnhaven across the Rijnhaven Bridge and along the New York Hotel, visit the Deliplein in Katendrecht or one of the city’s many museums. Our Customer Service Desk staff will be delighted to give you proper advice and interesting tips.

Calendar
In our calendar you will find a list of all the activities onboard. On weekends we usually invite a band or singer to the Ocean Bar. And, we organise culinary and creative workshops. A memorable experience is without a doubt a performance by the Dutch Swing College Band or Bill Baker's Big Band who are regular guests at the Queen's Lounge. 

Wanna peek behind the Boat Deck?

There it is. The biggest ocean steamer ever built in the Netherlands. Whether you decide to travel by car, underground and bus, water taxi, or cycling across the Rijnhaven Bridge … there is no overlooking steamship Rotterdam. Walk towards the stairs of the ship and a Boarding Steward will bid you welcome.Mostareas are accessible to the public. Have a look around, enjoy a cup of coffee or visit one of the shops. We bet you’ll be wanting to see more.

Book a tour
You can book a tour on this website (only for the Sea Breeze Deluxe Tour) or at the Ticket Office located on the quay. Onboard you will find the Customer Service Desk across the Hotel Reception on the Main Deck, for information on the ship tours.

Tours last about one hour (Sea Breeze Deluxe Tour) to at least 90 minutes (the Rotterdam Complete Tour) using an audio set and listening to more details provided by the ship hosts. Enjoy coffee, brunch, lunch or high tea to make your tour even more special. This is your perfect day out.
